Devon Huston is a self-taught watercolourist who started his painting career in 1986 after a 40 year career spent in the Advertising Design field, mainly in the print media in newspapers and Advertising Agencies.

He endeavours to bring a well-crafted, considered approach to his watercolours, which are created in a format he terms "casual realism".

Devon sells his art through over 20 galleries New Zealand wide, working from his home studio base in Cheviot and he also currently tutors both watercolour painting and life drawing through regular workshops held in various South Island locations.
